Policy Committee members are Howard Guille (chair), David Eades and Jane Lennon. The committee’s main tasks involve:
- implementation of the Queensland Heritage Strategy
- management of the Heritage Council’s strategic plan
- development of heritage policy and initiatives as referred to by the Heritage Council
- coordination of the Heritage Council’s strategic projects and budget.
Strategic Register Committee members are Peter Marquis-Kyle, Rod Litste and Chris Buckley. The committee’s main jobs are:
- hearing oral representations from owners and community members about places proposed for inclusion in the Queensland Heritage Register
- deciding which places will be entered in the register (the committee has delegation from the Queensland Heritage Council to make these decisions)
- advising the heritage council about appeals concerning heritage registration
- considering applications for removal of places from the heritage register.
