Ormiston Fellmongery, Ormiston (1850s–1860s and 1894–1920s)
Entered as an archaeological place, these remains have the potential to contain archaeological artefacts of importance in demonstrating the history of wool processing in Queensland, which has been an important adjunct to pastoral activity in this state. Ormiston Fellmongery, which operated at two time periods at one location, has the potential to provide important comparative information about fellmongering in Queensland, including changes over time.
